We provide housing and support services for current and former foster youth who attend college or trade schools. We work in partnership with the educational institutions to ensure that eligible students get the support they need in order to complete their degrees.
In order to qualify to be in the Angels Nest Program, you must satisfy the following eligibility standards.
1. Be at least 18-years-old to apply
2. Be enrolled full-time at a partnering college or trade school
3. Be a young adult with a foster care background
4. Maintain a minimum G.P.A. as required under residential contract
The program is targeted at providing support for two to three years, depending on good academic standing and individual circumstances.
Los Angeles is home to the largest transitional aged youth population in the United States. More than 25% of former foster children become homeless within two to four years of leaving the system. The biggest obstacle facing former foster youth to stay in school is housing instability. That is where Angels Nest steps in and steps up. We aim to provide housing assistance and wraparound services to those who need it most.
