In Los Angeles alone, almost 1,000 youth age out of the foster care system every year according to the LA County Board of Supervisors. The challenges that face these youth are immense. These youth grapple with homelessness, housing, financial illiteracy, few job opportunities, and a whole host of problems that are unique to a population who grew up in neglected households and a broken system.
